Unlike some other sports, field hockey players play rain, snow, or shine. Although the Lakettes have never played an actual game in the snow, it is not uncommon for there to be a "skiff" of snow during a November scrimmage. It is often hot (30 degrees C.) during tryouts in early September, and it often becomes quite chilly by November. Luckily, during an average fall, we receive little rainfall during our season. | |
